We’re looking for backstage professionals aged 18 to 35 (inclusive). The main thing is your readiness for teamwork and international collaboration in the film or music industries
Teams are formed randomly through an online draw. You can't pick your own team - and that’s part of the challenge! ArtMasters Open is all about stepping out of your comfort zone and co-creating with new people.
Participation is completely free.
The primary language of ArtMasters Open is English. To participate effectively, you’ll need a proficiency level of at least B1 (Intermediate).
The entire process is split into two main phases: Pre-production and Production.
Pre-production will take place remotely, where teams plan and prepare for their shoots according to the schedule.
Production will take place in Yekaterinburg in September, culminating in final project pitches to an international jury and the Awards Ceremony.

SFX Makeup Artist
This competency focuses on designing and creating character looks using professional makeup technique and hairwork, including postiche. The goal is to transform an actor’s appearance to bring the director’s creative vision to life through specialized techniques and artistic skill.
AI Prompt Engineer
This competency involves designing and crafting effective instructions (prompts) for interacting with AI system such as neural networks and chatbots. In the creative industries, the primary role of a prompt engineer is to design prompts that generate precise, relevant, and high-quality results. This expertise enables the automation of different stages of the creative process, the generation of unique content, and the enhancement of overall production quality.
Media Composer
This competency combines creative and technical skills used to compose original music for a wide range of audiovisual works. A media composer creates a unique soundscape that enhances the visuals and immerses the audience in the world of a film, video game, or commercial.
Sound Engineer
This competency involves crafting the soundscape of a project and realizing a creative vision as a cohesive sound experience. Sound deeply immerses the audience, sets the mood, evokes specific emotional responses, highlights key narrative moments, and adds depth to the story.
Scriptwriter
This competency focuses on the craft of storytelling and the developing of scripts that capture the audience’s attention and evoke strong emotional responses. A screenwriter creates the foundation for creative projects by crafting compelling plotlines, realistic characters, and engaging dialogue that resonates with the audience.
Producer
This competency combines creative vision with entrepreneurial expertise to develop and produce media projects across multiple platforms. A producer oversees the project and leads the team through every stage of production, including pre-production, production, and post-production.
Production designer
This competency involves the detailed development of locations and scenes to realize the overall concept of an event, based on sketches approved by the Director and Production Designer.
Costume Designer
This competency involves creating a complete character look through costumes, accessories, and other visual details. A costume designer designs and brings costumes to life that help tell the story, reveal a character’s personality, reflect the setting and era, and shape the overall visual impact of a film, stage production, or television show.

Graphic Designer
This competency focuses on visual communication and the expression of meanings through imagery, symbols, and typography. A graphic designer is a multidisciplinary professional who combines the skills of an artist, architect, director, and programmer with the perspectives of a psychologist, marketer, cultural analyst, and visionary thinker.
Motion Designer
This competency focuses on the creation of animated graphics using modern digital technologies in both 2D and 3D environments. A motion designer brings static visuals to life, creating dynamic motion graphics and visual effects that communicate ideas and engage audiences.
Music Video Director
This competency involves the creation of engaging video narratives designed for a broad audience, based on the interpretation of a musical work, including its melody, lyrics, the artist's image, and the intended purpose of the music video.
Stylist
This competency involves creating a complete visual identity through the selection of clothing, footwear, and accessories in line with the client's brief, dress code, and creative concept. A stylist’s responsibilities include shaping the overall look, selecting accessories, and overseeing hair and makeup design, as well as contributing to creative direction on set. The role may also involve input on set design, participation in model casting, lighting considerations, and the development of the project’s overall aesthetic. By combining current trends with client objectives, the stylist ensures a cohesive visual presentation and a harmonious overall image.
